For those who have driven into Manhattan, can the FT86 handle broken roads?

Did you find yourself scraping the under-side of your car?

What was it like?

I'm there all the time, no problems at all. it's not the most comfortable thing, but speeds are low and you have time to dodge pot holes.

No problems just drive with your eyes open and be ready to weave if necessary

Driving on WI winter backroads is probably near to what you would experience in Manhattan. We get a base layer of snow, it melts, then some breaks away, so it's like driving on a terribly potholed road, but its made of snow and ice.

At city speeds it hasn't been a big deal for me. As noted above, just drive with your eyes open.

Skip to 2:40 That part of the road was like cobblestones it was so bumpy and worn out (you can see the camera shaking). I haven't had any issues. Not sure how it relates to the city roads

On stock height you'll be fine. I have mad respect for the low riders in Queens and Manhattan...

Though occasional you'll find one bump that does disagree with you...

No issues when I had to take it into the city. Most of the potholes were no issue. It's the raised humps in the road that you need to worry about. This was will 18x8.5 wheels and dropped on KWs.

Just pay attention and give yourself some time and space to avoid obstacles.

I live in Canada, the capital of bumpy, potholed, and frost heaved roads...no worries.

I drive into and out of manhattan all the time. No problems. The car is a Subaru, they're pretty damn tough. Compared to driving a Genesis this suspension is magical for bumps and potholes.

I've driven to Manhattan and Queens and was fine, just avoid the deep holes.

And avoid the Cross Bronx and the Belt.

Manhattan is fine.

Just be aware of the road in front of you. Also, be conscious of what bumps your car can and can not handle and you will be fine.

Do you think those tall delivery trucks, with their ganjanista drivers will be able to see an FR-Z alongside? How about the NASDAQ trader driving an A8 yelling into his phone while trying to put his gloves on at the same time? Or the illegal alien livery driver, crazed and dazed after a 36 hour shift? Good luck.
