Is there any documentation on the RR TC?
What it does or doesn't do in comparison to the factory TC? Maybe I missed it in the Zendesk? Looking forward to testing this. Hopefully it stays nice enough to keep driving. With any luck I may be able to get into December before salt goes down. |

Any way the ECU can be reprogrammed to pass an OBD II emissions test in MA?

I think they are only checking for engine error codes? If the car does not have any then it should be within manufacturer limits which should be 50 state ok. That's my understanding of it. you shouldn't have to smog it for a while, will you?

If this works like the tuner I had for my srt it might not let the vehicle enter "emission ready mode" I had to remove the tune from my car and drive for like 20 miles to get it back to ready mode then test but as stated before we shouldn't need to be tested for at least a few years

Hey guys is there a reason to data log right after installation? I sent john the installation log file but have not heard back from him, imagine he is busy.
Everything seems fine I just don't have time to log today. Thanks Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

I have a ticket system full of people wanting updated tune files.
Everyone with a ProECU kit should already have a tune file. If you dont, please create a ticket requesting your first tune - set priority HIGH Thanks John |

I flashed to the latest tune v108b4 and RR-11034 today so I thought I would give a bit of feedback.
First thing I noticed was the idle changes. Before if a/c or defrost were turned on the idle would immediately drop to 500-550 rpms and bounce back to 900-1100 rpm, then the cycle would repeat. With the new base flash used in v108b4 if the idle jumps for any reason (i.e. a/c, defrost or whatever) the rpms jump a bit 900-1000 then stay absolutely steady at 800. Standing starts were a bit of a pain in my FR-S especially when it was on the stock ECU. I was used to driving higher torque sports cars that didn't bog as much as the FR-S any had to slow the clutch release to avoid the lurch the car seems to have at low RPMs. Even with a tune I had to be sure I was above 2500 and eased the clutch before I opened up the throttle. There is a major change to the power down low with this tune. While I was driving around to let the new map settle. I did my usual quick start and instead of a gradual build up of torque and speed, it snarled and spun the tires. I anticipated a lurch once the tires grabbed and TC kicked in but it didn't. It powered on. This was without the RR turned to the new TC. Once I had 30+ miles on the new flash I took it out on the freeway to see how the whole RPM range felt and noticed it does feel like opens up a bit more above 6000 rpm. Now on to the RR. I have been driving rwd for many years with cars and trucks that had plenty of HP/TQ. For driving in winter I have developed a keen sense for throttle control to keep me pointed forward and off lamp posts and such. This TC thing is new to me and I have been abusing the heck out of it in my FR-S this winter. I took my FR-S out to a traffic free industrial area that still had a large amount of snow and ice on the road and did a side by side comparasion of the RR to our stock TC. Accelerating from a stop or around corners with the RR, traction will break and let you spin but doesn't kick in as agressively as the stock TC. It isn't as invasive as the stock TC but I can see the stock settings are tuned with the complete idiot in mind. Sorry for the wall of text for anyone afflicted with TL;DR TOON GUD APOC HAPY |

I go and read my license count and shows 0, so i select and run the ECUTEK update but at the end i dont get the "license update downloaded" window, i just get a "thank you..." and no license update. I've read over the how to's several times but no update. Is there something im missing? Thanks
