Maybe it dries out the material? I just know they rate it for 5 years outdoors.

Yeah maybe or maybe he did have some bad stuff. I never tried working w it.

Ooohhh like the paint idea... permanent but it looks good. I was thinking gloss black actually. Is that suede below it on the inside of the door? Also- someone needs to find a way to bolster the door armrest... its awful. If I ever get my miata finished I want to work on soft touch interior and removing rattles. Actually... could suede the radio surround. OK OK no thread stealing just an idea?

Out of curiosity is there a thread for interior disassembly or is it a wing it thing? I'd go for it but... I tend to break small clips and stuff so I guess its better to do it when its new and not all brittle. I'd like to do new head unit, speakers, dynamat and this stuff. Might try the soft touch route. Problem I had with that in my eclipse was matching blacks... stands out too much when one looks bluish and one is more gray. Perhaps gray/silver?

I threw a little over the logo on the steering wheel. It came out ok. I am thinking about filling in the low areas so it is all smooth them recovering it. Either that or a few more layers of CF.

I wrapped my console a few weeks ago, looked amazing. Better than I expected. No bubbles, wrinkles. However, we had a hot day a few days ago and bubbles started to appear so I pulled it out. I checked the alien FRS console parts at the dealer and they screw in vs clip in so I wonder if that would work?

There's is a scratch on the panel now so I have to do something!

Looks awesome. The only thing I would be worried about is that it might shrink.

I had this stuff on my iPhone and I think the heat from the phone caused it to shrink over time.

12" X 48" was just enough to get everything but the steering wheel. I picked up a little more and did the steering wheel trim piece last night.

Do you guys cut the vinyl right at the edges or let it wrap around the back of the pieces?

I think it looks ok without the steering wheel done since you still have the silver vent rings, pedals, and traction control switches. I can't decide whether i want to plastidip mine white with pearlizer or go with the CF vinyl.
