I'm thinking I would like it more if it opened long ways instead. I feel like there would be less interference with both drinks and, like someone said earlier, your nice lady friend riding in the passenger seat.

I find myself needing an armrest less and less each day. Losing the utility of the cup holders is what makes this useless to me. I've ALWAYS got my coffee in the morning and my glasses case in the cup holders. It's a nice piece for those looking to cover up a hole...but I use that space everyday.

My 2 cents..
Since the side hinge is staying put. How about modifying it with vertical rails. So if you lift it up towards the passenger side, vertical rails would allow it to slide down. If able to slide down, it could nestle inbetween the side of the console and the passenger seat. Therefore, it wouldn't be in the passenger's way. Hopefully that made sense. Also, not sure if the space between the console and the seat would actually fit the thickness of the cushion piece. Or perhaps this might make it too costly to design such a thing. Cheers! |

I don't think that would work and it would definitely make it more complicated and expensive.

Or just make it slide straight back? I agree that it would be better to open a different way. Looks great though, was there a price point yet?

I think if it opened up towards the back and went 90 degrees and locked that would be good. If you could increase the height and had an additional release so it would lay flat on the tunnel and have an extra set of cup holders built into it for the rear passenger would be even better.

It's a nice piece but my comments mimic that of others. It needs to slide back to open otherwise the functionality of the cup holders is completely lost.
