Also, it would be nice if you guys consider for the Stage 1 tune at least for the USA kits to have an option for 93 (even if as an upgrade $$), because most everyone in USA has 93 accessible (California aside of course), and I would be happy with your initial numbers, and would rather pay you guys to fine tune for 93 than getting a local tuners give me a whole new different tune than yours.
this shouldn't be a $ upgrade. all other 49 states have normal gas, the 93 oct map should be included.

This is why we suggest that anybody purchasing an AVO turbokit get it tuned soon after, so as to make the most of their local conditions.
Thank you on behalf of all auto prisoners in CA. Should you decide to run for governor of CA, I will campain for you.

Can you please consider a 93 map? It dosent seem fair to hinder the other 49 states.

We'll roll different maps out as soon as we can. It's mainly a matter of time - the initial basemap, not only are we spending time on the dyno for it, but we'll be spending 2-3 days doing about 2400-3000 miles road tuning it over a variety of conditions. We've found through experience that dyno tunes that look ok don't fair as well once we move from sea level to 6000 feet, or when climbing a pass in desert conditions.

We did that for the turbo kits for the 2.5i Subaru's, and the AVO Outback with 180k on the clock when we installed it is still running very well 2 years and 20,000 miles later.

Honestly guys, I had no idea of your existence 3 months ago, and in this limited amount of time you have won me over SO MUCH as a customer. You share my same concerns, your goals for the car are exactly as mines.... THANK YOU for bringing this Turbo option to the table. Before your thread, it didn't dare to cross my mind to Turbo this car. After, I am SOLD. Keep doing your thing, it is AWESOME.

Will the tune file be locked or will we/our tuners be able to tweak it to get it to run as efficiently as possible?

Correct. If you have an Ecutek tuner locally, they can rewrite a new map for you. As long as you have the license and cable.

if AVO provides the tune info. for their base map (I highly doubt they would do this) to you with the kit, then the tuner could make a map based off of their tune specs and tweak it this way. However, doing this would negate the benefit they have by keeping this material secret.
