A bit off topic, but is it possible to wrap a Toyota emblem in carbon fiber wrap or the angles/shape of it make it almost impossible to do? While I know they are selling a JDM CF Toyota emblem, I don't feel like paying 200 bucks for it.

So today i tried my hand at my very first "mod" on my fr-s and i think it turned out fairly well!

Using some tips from this thread, and from someones member journal (the user name escapes me at the moment ) i took apart some of the interior trim and hit it with plasti dip. I never cared much for how the silver color clashed with the rest of the black and red interior, so i wanted to color it black. Never used the stuff before, and was considering just painting these parts, but im glad i didnt!

Personally i think the two side trim pieces came out a little grainy, probably due to rushing the coats and it being so humid out, but ill be redoing them when my jdm knee pads come in anyways

Without further ado, here are a few pics:

i like the plastic dip dash, a good do it yourself mod! Vinyl dash looks good to. Had carbon fiber vinyled mine before i gutted it.. Waiting for real carbon fiber.

did the same with my emblems! looks stunning!

these are not as dark as they seem on the picture:

i took the dip out of the holes in the 86 later:

Here is a video where i peel off the surrounding plastidip, kinda fun

But it was really hard getting the dip out of the inside of the emblems, i used a toothpick for that but scratched the paint a bit

FYI i did some pics after driving home, i cleaned all the emblems before putting that plastidip over them.
