completely normal. If it was under 600 I'd question it. But pretty much every car does that.

that's completely normal, my other car 2007 Mazda 6 revs to 2000rpm on cold start up and drops back down when the car is warmed up.

Mine does the same - starts from cold at 1500 then drops down below 1000.

These cars idle that low? I would have been concerned too. All the cars I've had have always idles at about 800 but I've never had a DI car before. That could possibly explain such a low idle.
