Took a quick look, it looks incredibly tacky with the marquee badging and carbon fibre panels. It's like I see the carbon fibre weave everywhere now. It used to look cool with REAL carbon fibre panels but now it's mostly vinyl and even when I do see real carbon fibre it's no longer the same.
Money can be better spent elsewhere, namely the engine and make it more efficient than it already is. Efficiency = power. |

It's ridiculous calling this car a concept.

Looks cheesy and hurried. The only thing I like is the WRX 4-pot/2-pot brakes. I really have zero interest in an all-wheel-drive BRZ. Turbo perhaps...

Not impressed. Looks so childish and a whole bunch of aftermarket stuff pile on a car. CF vinyls or real? What is xt means? I am so happy with mine now.

I would rather have an FRS but this thing is not half bad. Wish the carbon fiber was painted white though.

The Subaru XT was available in FWD or 4WD. It was available with an NA and a Turbocharged engine. So i cant see the XT being a sign of a 4WD Turbo BRZ coming. However much i would actually love to see it happen.
Im certain the XT will just be a Top Spec model with the most comfortable seats, the best stereo etc As they refer to it as the XT 'Line' im expecting it to be similar to the Audi 'S Line' or BMW 'M Performance' packages that you can get as an added option when speccing up your car at new. I mean so far Toyota have shown us in-house packages from TRD, Modellista, Gazoo and the Aero Kit that they now call the Nurburgring kit. Where as Subaru has only shown us the STI kit so far i believe? So i totally expect this to just be a styling package. |

It might be just that it's not actually coming out for a while. There are rules about that - see the new Golf GTI "concept" from the same show. From topgear.com:
