Toyota NZ advise the TRD Brembo Brake Kit comes with Ferodo FM1000 street pads.
And from google they sound like a pretty good all round pad - "These are the standard Brembo street pads used for the Monobloc M caliper, made by Ferodo. These are an excellent street pad with many positive attributes for daily driving - low noise, excellent initial bite and modulation. Their only downside is the price and they can be more dusty than a Hawk HPS. This is the standard pad that Brembo equips for the M caliper when new." |

If they do in fact have this for 2.5K for a front a rear Brembo conversion I will be there immediately. But I just don't see it coming in at that price. Quote:
Here's an example of the *USED* setup. Calipers front and rear $1200 Front and Rear Rotors $800 Pads front and $500 Braided lines front and rear $200 Dogbone for rear $250 DOT 6 fluid $50 2 hours labour (in case you're getting a w/s to fit) $150 $3150. Now that's a pretty good price. Can't see MRT doing front and rear for 2.5K let alone 4K otherwise I wouldn't be bothering sourcing parts piece meal to upgrade mine (still need the rear dogbones) 1. STI wheels (other then MY02-MY04 17 7.5) *WILL NOT* fit. They 5x114.3 unless you go for a hub conversion or use a spacer with a PCD adaptor. I have 8 spare MY06 STi 17x8 wheels here ready for when a cheap 114.3 hub conversion becomes available. 4 for street and 4 for track. The exception to the above maybe the STi wheels that shipped with Brembo equipped STi Liberty's (I think from MY06-MY07???). They had clearance for brembo's and were 5x100. Yes they will. Either via a dog bone or using an 08+ rear calliper (this I haven't confirmed but it was mentioned by another user on another forum) |

Hi, Thanks for your jump to conclusions and time spent... Please call MRT to confirm, which you could have done in the time spent typing the above. Sorry, one mistake I made, it was actually $2450. No link sorry, they take a bit of time to respond to emails too, I'm guessing they have a lot on. When I spoke to them they had just returned from the Motor Magazine Modified challenge with their Alcon BBK upgraded car. Just relaying the offer made to me only a few days ago when I approached them to work on my car in relation to their XA performance upgrade and Brake enhancements.. There probably isnt another workshop in the country with access to Subaru parts in the quantity that MRT has.. Edit: Ask for Quentin. Cheers Last edited by Bomb3r; 09-25-2012 at 04:08 PM.
