I'll just drop an F22 in it. Problem solved.

I'll take 2JZ engine over F22. I like the sound of high rev i6 engine.

That would make a great car, but I don't think it will be better than an S2000 so why bother. Maybe try something a little different.

4A-GE silver/black top
4A-GZE 3S-GTE 3T 3T-GE 2ZZ-GE would all make fun and interesting swaps, imo. |

Two reasons: it's more different than what he already has; it makes more torque while maintaining its high revving nature. Just my opinion. The f22 is still an amazing motor and I would love to have it in my ft or any other small car

Well, here I am, posting in my first FT-86 thread on what looks to be the most active of the ft86 discussion boards on the net.
The reason I'm here, besides my interest in owning the FT-86 in the future, is to discuss the output of the engine. I'm currently active on the discussion forum 9thgencorolla.com and as you can imagine and already know, a lot of rumors are circulating about the 2.0L boxer that is still being designed. So here's what I've gathered: estimates (see: speculation) have placed the output anywhere from 160-230 hp. We know the engine will include DI with one injector per intake runner and one injector per cylinder. Playing around with that at a normal REV limit (see: ~6500-7000 RPM) can produce a peak power output of around 160-180 hp. So, the question becomes: What is the REV limit going to be placed at? Additionally, has there been any talk about using variable valve lift technology (similar to the 2zzge)? As the owner of a car with the 2zzge, I would thoroughly wet my pants at the prospect of not only a low Center of Gravity (CG) but use of the balanced design of the boxer to produce a screaming, high output, yet torquey engine. The prospect of a 2zzge/boxer lovechild is just that tantalizing. |
