Price friendly spare tire/hardware kit?

130$ for 1 spare wheel? Sounds overrated in my opinion. I wonder what the prices are for a spare tire now? Priceva says that the price of a temporary spare tire will greatly depend on a few factors, mainly the size, performing ability, and brand of the tire. Generally speaking, the price of donut tires ranges from $50 to $200. So I guess not that bad.

I may be overly paranoid, but I would worry about what effect that has on the LSD. That said, I don't know the proper solution in this case. The owners manual actually advises the opposite, to put a compact spare on the front but when that doesn't work because of the BBK, then what?

Yeah I've always understood that spares should not be mounted on driven wheels, at either end depending on the vehicle. (I suppose AWDs get a pass on that.) That said I have never seen a person swap front to back or back to front to follow the advice.

I've done that when I had a flat in a front tire of a FWD car - swapped a rear wheel there and put the spare at the rear.

I got a spare tire from a legacy or whatever for $50 and got a tie down screw for free from the local salvage yard
