Weight reduction, along with the physical fitness improvements should help make gains. Many pro drivers are also triathletes now too.

Ive always heard 1lb of rotating mass is equal to 7lbs of dead weight. 10lbs of dead weight equals 1hp. 100lbs =10hp= tenth in quarter mile.

So for the OP you've just gained yourself 3hp and .003 secs in the a quarter mile! Take a laxative and a big squat and you could be even faster

About the same as if you took out the spare tire and associated jack.

Tossing your wife out of the car gains significant power. Weight reduction and when she kicks the ass end of your car as you drive away is a nice push boost.

Get's rid of that annoying whining noise from the passenger side as well.

Does all this math everybody is throwing around work in reverse. If I have my 250 pound son in law and two 150 pound grandsons in the car will it even move? Will my HP go into the negatives?

Well, there is a weight limit the suspension can handle, but other than that my math works just fine. Power to weight ratio approaches 0 but can't actually go negative unless either mass is negative or power is negative.

But that makes too much sense for this crowd, so let's see what else we come up with.

Damnit. I was hoping to get enough weight in there that it would drive backwards and create fuel.

And yes speed bumps become very challenging when they are all in the car!

Try this formula Weight/Power and you'll never get negatives.

It is never too late to learn

Also never to late to figure out when somebody is obviously making a joke. If anybody truly believed that I felt that adding more weight would make the car go negative or not move they need to re examine their world outlook.
