P0018 is keeping me from enjoying my car
At 33k miles p0018 pops up. So far I have reset the battery nothing. I rest the battery and re-flashed my tune, nothing. Replaced the camshaft position sensor A an bank 2, upper left hand side, nothing. I now ordered an ecm from Toyota hoping that it will fix the issue. I do not have warranty anymore because of my avo kit. And to top things off, I crashed my door into my garage. I know there's tons of info on this code already, but damn. It's a very misleading code and extremely difficult to fix.
Also, the last thing I did to the car wars install a clutch, but I know that the Damn clutch is not the issue. I only took off the exhaust and drive shaft while doing so. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk Last edited by Astroboy; 05-16-2017 at 03:34 PM. |

Swapping out parts without properly diagnosing the issue is a piss poor way to fix your car. And expensive. IMHO you need to bring your car to a mechanic and get that diagnosed so you can fix the issue.
You'll run out of money before you run out of guesses. |

Another potential fix is to swap cam sprockets?
This is the main reason I am in the middle of an LS swap. I was at a point where, I would need to build the motor for about $10k (from a reputable shop aka FullBlown), plus strengthen/swap the transmission ($4K+) and still have the potential of the sensitive finicky cam gearing/phasing system/ECU fuck up at any time... My FA20 treated me good as it held 500+ whp and 450+ wtq, but even built I would never feel at peace knowing an issue like this could pop up anytime for no reason.
