Would there be radiator support damage though really? Again, I backed into the pole, not sure where anything is really on this car other than oil filter. And yeah I agree it's right on the cusp. I think I have to just pay it out of pocket though. The eventual insurance decreases I'd be missing out on would likely add up too much when compared to the increase I'd be getting

Hmmm, would a rocket bunny kit cover or replace a lot of that damage? Remember, the insurance company cuts a check and YOU get to choose how to spend it, so work with the shop- you don't have to go with OEM pieces. Rocket Bunny kit replaces the bumper cover, and wheel arches right?
Sometimes a screw up can turn into an excuse to upgrade. Kind of a lemons to lemonade type thing. |

NOT the answer. Chopping the car up to hide a dent is sort of self defeating and to do everything else required to make it look half decent would be about 10 times the repair quote.

And @ the insurance changes, in 2013 an old guy jumped in front of me and hit the brakes going into a toll booth when my 92 Camaro was my daily driver, not the nimblest of braking cars. Hardly tapped him, my insurance paid out about 2.5 grand though. That finally fell off last year, but according to my declaration page i was assessed a charge of anywhere from 299-400 every 6 months for the last 3 years. Currently I've been a "safe" driver for 4 years now, a year away from being considered an ACTUAL safe driver(and getting accident forgiveness) , this would reset that clock plus make me pay more...doesn't sound fun. Tldr: I'm close to being a safe driver, I want those savings. I just called them and gave them the go ahead. Probably the best auto body shop in Orlando from everything I've heard/been told. |

Its amazing what a tap will do. My accident was so minimal a speed I didn't expect to see any damage. If we had had another half foot or so of separation when we started we probably wouldn't have hit at all. We just collided in exact right spot to bend structural things on the FRS. Her Sentra didn't even have a paint blemish on it.

Yes. Otherwise the new paint will stand out very stark against the old. Only 4 years but your paint is fades enough that it will be off.
