This was meant to be a small, affordable sports car, just like the Miata, so in my opinion, if you want to be able to compete with vettes and mustangs then you should've just bought a GTR or a Lotus.

I get the appeal of driving something unique (although it confuses me that you left your car bone-stock exterior despite that), and if you have the money to boost then by all means do it, but if you're gonna say that this car is boring without more power then you're no better than the mustang drivers that you see everyday.
Be annoyed all you want, but I stand by what I said. I've had MANY cars. I've autocrossed and driven sticks my whole life. I'm 35. Some of my cars were stock and some were built to 2X+ their stock power levels and this is the first transmission I've ever had that I've had issues with. I'm not the only one either. Now, I also don't blame the transmission for me pushing higher than stock power levels thru it and not being happy. It's fine. Whatever. I bought this car to tinker with and running into issue after issue is the name of the game. Bottom line, there's what, 20+ different power adder kits out there and exactly ONE bolt in swap kit from FullBlown for a transmission that costs $10,000. We NEED more driveline options and my original post is one of many stating the fact. Shops are starting to step up and work on designs and kits to help out the Ft86 crowd, but some of us have been stranded for several years swapping in stock tranny after stock tranny waiting for a proper solution to arise. The car is a game changer in its stock form. I admit it. Some people simply can't leave well enough alone. I'm one of them. If I had the money I'd have a 2000hp Gallardo. Enough is never enough...

I would not buy a Bell these days, but back then it was actually a much different brand.

They were seriously cool in the late 70s but I could never afford one. We used to put Bell stickers on the helmets we had

When one of the popular first mods to do to the car is to swap out the transmission fluid due to a common second gear grind... yea. I'm a crazy person...
