FRS dash piece interchangeable with BRZ????
Hi Guys,
I just brought a BRZ and I don't like the look of the silver plastic dash piece. I was wondering if the darker coloured dash piece out of the FRS (86 in AUS) would sit in the BRZ. The BRZ does have a larger display so I'm unsure if it will work. Thanks

Ummmm, no. FRS dash is LHD and if you are in Australia our cars are RHD, so it will not fit. AUDM GT86 and BRZ dash pieces are interchangeable however, and there was an option available from the dealers a while back for a black fake carbon dash surround. Hope this helps.

No worries, just the FRS part numbers would be different to the GT86 ones . Some of the aftermarket parts companies like JPM coachworks also offer alcantara covered dash pieces. Check out CarModsAustralia's website as well, they stock the JPM one piece alcantara dash

The alcantara-covered, red-stitched pieces sure do dress up the cockpit and add some cozy comfort to the environment. I have installed a few of them myself. I have also painted some of the smaller aluminum-colored parts, like the door grips and AC vent surrounds wiith a flat black spray paint which dries with leather-like creases in the surface. We do have a forum member who has picked up needle, shears and glue to produce some exceptional looking coverings over the hard plastic surfaces of a number of interior parts. Sorry, I can't seem to find him, though. There's also a section on Interior Parts, or you could search on alcantara and get a lot of recent chatter about covering those ugly painted plastic parts. Good luck!

To me the twins with alcantara coverings always seem to be missing something... like 25" spinner rims and an "ICU Lookin'" decal across the top of the windshield. Maybe JPMCoachworks went out of business because of a shortage of bad taste.
