No worries though, been trying to limit my "fucking around" and focus more on studying while there's downtime at work. I'll binge anime once I get this damn certification.

Meanwhile, I've been working on this peach fuzz for months! Want to grow a fumanchu but to no avail.

You can't use works' wifi?

If he uses works' wifi or even hotspot the works' workstation, how would he get thru the company firewall on the company's network?

Only if he gets caught. What good is being an IT guy if you can't do stuff you're not supposed to on the computer?

When I used to work for the largest IT company in the world, every employee had local admin rights to their own workstation.

But as soon as you put something illegit onto the machine, the built in Big Brother software will give you a 3 day ultimatum to remove it, and non-compliance resulted in an notification to your boss and your boss' boss lol!

Plain clothes security guards also did random baggage checks. If they find that you sneaked a personal laptop into the installation you are fired on the spot.

One time my co-worker put in an undeclared asset onto the network (a new router for testing) and within an hour or so, a whole bunch of IT security dudes showed up at his cube from HQ. Good thing they were convinced it was just a misunderstanding haha!

That's terrible security, security theater to be exact. It's like putting armed guards in front while leaving the back door open.

No AD domain controllers to logon, all company resources are accessed thru intranet web portals. I guess that saves them a ton of money.
