Also running into the same. OFM 1.25.1, across two different systems.

No error message, it just sits at the "Connecting to device..." screen. I'm wondering if maybe something with the W10 Anniversary update broke something. I've had it hooked up on both these computers before, the tablet itself still works in the car just fine.

make sure you are not using usb 3 ports, from memory oft hardware doesn't work well with usb 3, they usually have blue colour inside, try usb 2 port they are usually white.

NYS allows 1 failed ready monitor. 2 failed monitors if its over 10 years old if I recall.

I've passed 3 NYS inspections now with a custom tune and header.

Update with my inspection problem.

Got the car to pass yesterday first try. All I did was order a OB2 extender cable from Amazon for $10. Made sure it connector had nice thick pins on it via the picture on Amazon. Plugged it into my car, plugged the other end into their inspection machine and it worked flawlessly.

I've actually tried both a USB 2.0 port directly and through a hub.

What's particularly odd is that the OFT does show up in Device Manager, but OFM doesn't seem to pick it up. It's what has me wondering if it could be a software issue, especially since W10 just got a service-pack level update.

I am on Mac running Windows 7 VM so not sure if my solution will help.

Basically let it display "Connecting to device" for a while and OFM will freeze. Then disconnect the USB cable and wait for "Unconfigured device, it cannot be used." message and click OK. Then reconnect the USB cable and start OFM again and it will connect.

If you on windows try a different computer

if you on mac/apple its probably some issue with emulator or virtual machine software setup.

the oft guys run mac so they may be able to help

I've tried on both my laptop and desktop, actually, but they're both running W10 with the Anniversary update. I don't have easy access to a W7 PC, unfortunately.

I've never heard that, maybe I take a trip to Albany or Rockland.
I would only have 1 failed ready anyways right?
Thanks so much btw.

Its quite possible NYC has a different stance on it. However I do know for sure NYS inspection as a whole allows for 1 failed rediness monitor (providing there is no CEL)

If there is a CEL it will fail.

Should follow the values in the Open Loop Fueling Table under load

Rough guide to expected AFR (Naturally aspirated on petrol)

Cruise and idle around 14
Overrun –throttle closed will often read 20
Under load low to mid RPM , AFR around 12-13
Under load high RPM , AFR Mid 12 than tapering to maybe high 11 over 7000 on OFT tunes.

Have a read of the Ecu Logging link below (green one)
