technically you can still shift without the clutch.

nope. from what i've read they are pretty reliable as long as you drive them often. Both my GTR and e46 M3 had no problems over the 4 years i owned each of them.

meahwhile my toyota celica was brand new in 2002 and blew a water pump at 600 miles. My FRS already has the the fourth gear grind and crickets.

Have you had the 458 long enough for a pros vs cons with the GTR? Still a ways away from affording either but interested to hear your opinions on daily/relaxed driving in each and balls to the wall driving.

Broke my ankle last year, the two weeks I wasn't driving MT were almost as much torture as being stuck in a cast for 6 weeks.

Won't bore you with details, but it involves a boat, a dock, a trip, and enough blood to attract Jaws. At least I got my first ride in a helicopter.

Ouch, hope you get better soon.

This is why I keep telling my wife she needs to learn to drive my MT- if I break my foot or something, I'm stuck with her AT Camaro and she's stuck with the MT FRS!
