What lugs should I use?

McGard SplineDrive are very durable. Part number 65554 for chrome or 65554BK for black. Comes with locks and valve stems.

I am very happy with my McGard Spline drive lug nuts and wheel lock set. I love the design, and they look inconspicuous with my wheel-set.

These also have an independently-rotating seat like many of the Project Kics lug nuts, and therefore will greatly reduce the chance of marring up the seat where the wheel comes in contact with the lug nut.

I have seen images of these lug nuts that are years old and have taken a lot of abuse, and the finish holds up remarkably well, even when not well cared for. It took me almost all four months that I was waiting for my wheels to be manufactured to find a set of lug nuts I was happy with - I was very close to dropping the money on a set of Project Kics or Rays, but I really didn't care for their design and look, even though I was willing to pay the price for them.

I saved about $100 - 150, and couldn't be happier with how these turned out - GL finding and choosing something that will work for you.

Hey everyone. Found the wheels I wanted, now need to find a product to make sure its stays on the car.

Read that Lug nuts should be used, but read the thread and see that some says you need another set of lock for it also, is that correct? Gonna use it on a Vordoven Forme 9 (I know, I know).

So it would be 4 lugs 1 lock? or how does it work?

You don't "need" locks but it's a good idea. Make sure the lugs are skinny enough to fit in your lug wells and are the right thread. DO NOT use stock lugs on aftermarket wheels or aftermarket lugs on stock wheels

Yes, if you want to utilize wheel locks then you'll want 16 lug nuts and 4 wheel locks - some companies sell these as a kit, so you get everything you need. You'll typically have a key specific to to lug nuts for installation and removal, and another unique key for the locks - so that's two keys that you'll want to keep in your glove compartment.

My McGard Spline Drive lug nuts came as a kit with the locks included, so again they get my recommendation as I've been extremely happy with them.

The thread size you'll need is m12 x 1.25 - I would also hold onto at least five of your OEM lug nuts and keep those in the car at all times as well (in the event that you need to utilize the spare tire.)

Awesome, thanks for the info! Just wanna make sure I get one that can prevent it theft as best as it can. Since they're not cheap and don't mind paying a bit for better security as long as price is reasonable.

Also if theres more recommendations, please let me know so I can take a look at it!

I have a set of used Rays Racing Formula lug nuts. Gives me the blue color that I want without the risk of it just flaking away. Really expensive though, I bought mine used at a good price, probably wouldn't have bought them otherwise.

Kinda, you use an allen key to take off that blue cap and then that reveals the splines on the inside for the included "key" to fit into.

Could probably just use a hammer and jam something in there to turn the lug nut, like with most wheel locks though.

And actually, I haven't put these on my car yet, but looking at them I'm starting to suspect the ones I have are fakes... sigh. time to do some research.

Ohhh I thought they used the Allen key to come off. That makes more sense. You could weigh them, that should tell you if they are a different material. I assume RAYS will be chromoly or titanium. Both will be significantly lighter than steel

These weigh a freaking ton and there's a taper to the allen key slot on the head. Compared to the authentics which do not have that taper.

Well it hasnt been 180 days yet, so paypal dispute has been opened. I'm just glad I never put these on my car.
