I'd like to firm up the brake pedal on my '15 BRZ. The plan is to install a master cylinder brace (I'm leaning Greddy) and Vorshlag (sp) braided lines. My question is which to do first. The brace seems the most likely candidate, if only because it's the least involved process. What think ye?

I have a Grimmspeed MCB, stop tech stainless lines and RBF 600 and my pedal is nice and firm. I noticed the biggest change after installing the MCB though.

Neither will make a big difference. Both might make a very small difference when braking very hard. Pads might also affect feel, among other things.

I use carbotech 1521 for the street with ATE dot 4. I think the brakes feel great, much better than OE. I think this is mostly about good fluid, no air in the lines, and a relatively high friction pad. The high friction pad means less pedal pressure, and therefore less flex in the entire system: lines, fluid, caliper, seals.

I run stock lines and calipers, no brake shims.

Master cylinder brace made the most obvious change for me with the stock pads. Changing to pads that don't easily compress (like Carbotech 1521) will make the biggest difference and you'll gain brake performance too.

Like what everyone above said, master cylinder brace will make the most obvious difference outside of a big brake kit upgrade.

I was blown away with how much improved the pedal feel became with my Grimspeed MCB.
