Amazon is your friend. You can find just about any spacer thickness you want.

I tried not to daily drive my competition wheels/tires but it happened more than once, sometimes for a month or two (after the end of the season and not motivated enough to bolt on something with less grip). I ran an 8mm spacer front and rear, zero issues.

Do make sure you have extended studs. For that matter if you change your wheels with any regularity it's a good idea as the stock studs suck.

Yes extended ARP studs are a must.

Just got back from getting my alignment. I have Koni inserts, TRD springs, and OEM crash bolts.

Front Left Camber: -1.35°
Front Right Camber: -1.38°
Rear Left Camber: -1.89°
Rear Right Camber: -1.94°

I also had them zero the toe on the front and rear.

Looks like my FR-S is on the lower end of negative camber from what I've seen others have gotten.

I hope that included the new required stepped washers on your Koni's. If so, then that probably explains your lower negative camber. Everyone else's numbers will be coming down as well.

Edit: just saw that you have the inserts, not full replacements.

His key word was inserts. Using OEM strut housings I'd hope he'd be legal

Yup, read too fast. Went back and noticed he said inserts. I haven't got my stepped washers and alignment yet, but I'm guessing -1.3 is about where I'll be as well

Are you guys using all of the tricks to get front camber? Jacking up under the balljoint to force maximum camber while you tighten the bolts, loosening other bolts and shifting things around, etc?

I didn't hover over the guy doing my alignment. He is well-known in the KC area to get race alignments and almost everyone that races their car takes it to him. He even gives a 10% racer discount!

He did tell me he loosened up everything in the rear to try and pull in the rear to get rid of some of the negative camber.

i am, it got me to 1.4 both fronts with cusco full replacements. my RR is way off from the factory and was able to drop it from 2.6 to 2.3 by loose and pry

no that didnt move it any, the upper controll arm moved it the most. one side of the upper was in farther. two of us with a long pry bar moved it

That won't do anything, everything bolts to the subframe, that would just change the angle of the shock in the control arm.

Where is everyone getting their Koni strut washers from? Do we just call up Koni tech support as mentioned in the article simpleisbest posted a while back or ....?
