Please get back on topic and discuss your views on this, or stop posting here. I see from your post history that you're interested in their kit. No ones stopping you from buying a ripoff kit to save a few bucks. But please stop trying to bury what was an actual discussion if its just to spare your own feelings. |

The customer goes where the value is. SBD definitely offers the best value by far, factoring in the low price, great support via the Facebook group, and the pretty solid e-tunes from Shiv... and this is exactly why they are selling so hot. You can obsess over who "designed" the kit if you want, but at the end of the day, SBD does manage to offer a much better value to customers. That is why they are selling so much more then Greddy. They also offer a full warranty on parts, so they stand behind their quality.
I'm not a SBD kit owner. I've helped install two kits, and have tuned a base map for one of them. I'm in the FB group to assist with questions where I can, and initially used it to get an overview of what issues other people were having so I knew what to expect. The overall value you get from going SBD is much better at the end of the day because of the available resources to SBD customers. Here is a better question... I've never seen Greddy logos on the SBD charge pipes on the two kits I've installed, however thats beside the point. Greddy does not sell just the charge pipes to my knowledge. I'd be asking Greddy where they source their charge pipes from, because I find it kind of weird that a Greddy stamped charge pipe is being sold with another kit. The only explanations would be: 1) Greddy sources the charge piping for Zage 2) Zage uses the same source for the charge pipes as Greddy, which raises the question why is Greddy not manufacturing their own hardware? Isn't that part of the hate towards SBD, that they only resell and do not actually make their own kits in-house? 3) The picture was bogus / fake to draw attention. I like to keep an unbiased opinion, and am not going to personally state which one I believe is correct. This is just the view from an unbiased third party who doesn't even own the SBD kit, but can testify to the quality and value of the kit from assisting people who have made the decision to buy SBD. Here is another question; Why are Greddy's R&D costs so high? They sell a very minimalistic kit. How are other companies still covering R&D costs, although they are offering kits which are much more complete, all for less than the entry cost of Greddy? I won't say names, but do some pricing comparison with what you get with Greddy versus some other popular choices, then ask yourself why Greddy is so much more expensive in comparison for less overall parts. Not just in comparison to SBD, but to every other FI kit on the market. Maybe we should ask Greddy why they are offering such a minimalistic kit at such a high entry point in comparison to other kits available on the market, rather than attacking SBD for offering a much better overall value with equally quality parts. Sorry, but "R&D costs" does not justify Greddy's pricing difference for the same parts. Chris has said many, many times they do not make much profit on the kit. That is why the price is so low; the pricing is set up to where they make minimal profit while providing the absolute best value to customers. I feel this is the best business model for their situation since they do not actually develop the kit, and most customers are OK with a small "resell" profit margin for a business to deliver great value to their customers. Think thats the end of my soapbox. I'm not taking sides with "SBD is good vs SBD is shit", just throwing out information to trigger discussion and clarify some false points people have made in this thread. |

![]() Anyways professionalism goes long ways and how chris deals with his customer. I've seen a couple problems with the kit but customer service is unreal. Yes i would support greddy if it wasn't priced that high. For the money they're asking i can get a better us made turbo kit.

Of course Chris or whoever from SBD will try to provide good customer service etc etc. It makes him a good salesman/businessman. Not necessarily a good person. I don't care how awesome of a person you are, I don't support counterfeit goods. If I don't think the genuine article is worth the price, I just wont buy it at all. |
