I do believe the type R was a real sports car. The only real difference is which wheels drive. Otherwise they are/were sport compact coupes with great handling. But no one complained about it not making enough power. In fact I suspect a typeR Integra would beat the FRS in a straight line. Just cuz it's Honda doesn't make it any less than our cars. The type R changed things. I doubt this new GRMN would be available without Honda proving there was a market. I do believe $60k is too much for it though. I realize the parts are all hand made and race proven but for the same price, excluding any limitations the GRMN had to originally compete under, you could build a much faster 86 with factory made parts.

Yea☹️ I was just trying to rustle some jimmies saying it's not a real sports car. I lusted over type R's before seeing half-ass attempts day in and day out. But I will say, Imo the GRMN would have been produced either way, cuz before Honda was decking out there econoboxes, Nissan/Toyota had a history of making affordable sports car with a proper chassis. |

It tends to suggest blue printing or hand balancing, more care and lower tolerances.

I'm disappointed in you Tcoat. If there is one thing that can make a car ugly, it's putting a tent on it

Ahhh but a thing of beauty when that tent is folded up. I have always been a convert fan although I do agree when to top is up they can be as ugly as sin.

If they could just charge for the tune of the ECU like they would do any TRD part. Only available at dealer and it's matched to the GRMN ECU tune.
