Rallycrossing the Toyobaru
Anyone here had experience with this yet?
I'm interested in taking my FR-S to a rallycross in IL, and would like to hear about some others' experiences. I've got no problem beating on my car for fun, but don't want to take too big of a risk of damaging anything. I've done some winter rallycross on a frozen lake, which was a blast, but if you ran off the course there it was just into snow. This place sets the course on sections of a motocross track, and it looks like it's fairly hard packed and "smooth." ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd be running stock suspension and tires. Perhaps pick up a set of all-seasons?

We just had our Great Lakes National challenge, guy ran an FR-S in Stock Rear. (I ran this class in the silver Miata) You think it's crazy to see an FR-S at a rallycross...until you see the car that actually won, a Porsche 911:

I'm definitely into the idea of trying it, but I'd like to minimize the risk of ripping off a bumper or breaking a suspension component. I know these are always risks in racing, but I'm mainly curious as to whether or not it's more common in rallycross.
