I had the pcv completely removed since the fbm catch can cancels it so the line from the top of the manifold that went to the pcv was routed to the bov, the T is for the boost gauge.

By the way installed the recirculated wastegate downpipe, sounds so clean. Love the sound of the turbo spooling. The car sounds like a slightly more powerful oem turbocharged car, clean, quiet. Would recommend it to anyone, I really disliked the dumping noise.

If you're on the fence like I was.. just opt for recirculated. The guys at JDL were nice enough to give me a little credit for returning my original downpipe back to them.
What noise are you talking about for some reason I'm thinking of the "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" sound and then that whoosh when you let off the gas

Open wastegate dump means as soon as the wastegate opens to start bypassing exhaust from the turbo, it's a straight pipe coming out of the turbo manifold; so it means basically a completely open exhaust with no cats or resonators, it can get really loud.

The turbo spool sound(sssss) and bov(wosh) sound are pretty different. You could "youtube" wastegate dump and you'll hear what Sprotsguy83 just described, pretty much an open exhaust sound when full boost or near full boost is reached.

Very nice kit. If I were to pick a turbo kit, this would be the one. I'd probably go with a GTX2867r for the turbo. 300 whp is the goal on 93 octane so it would be a light build with pretty major potential in the future.

Exactly what I choose. But I am going to be pushing that gtx2867r to its potential lol.

Yommy - I guess open dumptube is not for everyone. Funny when I had my STi back in the day and first equipped it with a perrin 30r kit, it had a recirc. I ended up cutting it out and running it open dumptube LOL.

I try to keep my cars quiet to avoid the law, but something about an open dump to help keep my sanity in check when I want to know my car is a mean mother

Then again I had the first revision of the perrin kit, which fit REALLY tight, and cutting that dumptube out helped tremendously with the fit. I may have opted for a recirc if I had known in the beginning they offered it, but, oh well!

Lol yeah I know I used to be all for dumping but goes to show me people sometimes change or in my case, get older, lol. I remember back in the turbo mitsubishi days I replaced the 02 housing simply to add the dump option, loved that loudness lol.

I'm very content with the kit, it really has been holding on flawlessly in this undesirable Miami weather, crazy hot one day, cold the next. Next thing you know you're waking up to a wet humid steamy day and the kit does nothing but bring happiness to my daily traffic jammed commute.

Damn I don't wanna get old

I can see my old ass being 30 and driving around with my loud car with my BOV WHOOSHING everywhere. You guys are making me wanna buy this kit now lol. I still gotta do some research about the single scroll and twin scroll though.

How much more work was the recirculated BOV? I'm fairly certain I'll be going that route and was curious how much longer it took.

Been considering a turbo kit for a while and AVO doesn't have the performance needs I want, nor the look. JDL has that in spades, plus unbelievable build quality from what I understand.
