Here in Onterrible, Canada, anything modified is subject to harrassment. And worse, being a young Asian male in a modified Japanese sports car is subject to the most harrassment. These fuckers really wanna pick a fight or something. Was pulled over MANY times for absolutely nothing just for the prick cop to give me a "warning" for a muffler too loud (which it isn't), or something dumb like, "you were going a bit too fast", when in the slow lane cruising 10kmh over and others passing me. I love police and yes we do need them. My neighbour is a cop. But there are just too many bad ones out there these days.

I get followed by a cop for a few miles every time I see one. I learned not to really take offense to it since there isn't much you can do about it.
I did however get pulled over by a cop and was questioned if it was really my vehicle after I gave him my license and registration... lol. |

Had a cop tailgating me so I turn into some really winding country road and lost sight of him.

I hear they really love it if when you get pulled over you stick both hands out the window and drop the keys without them asking. It shows you have no prior history with law enforcement.

From my experiences around Toronto I think it would be more likely for me to get pulled over for not being a young Asian male but driving a modified Japanese car.

I've once had a "car" tailing me really aggressively in the carpool lane at night. Tailgated me so hard I was pressured into going over 80 mph. Then I was overtaken by this "car", it turned out to be cop car!!!

Hasn't happened to me at all.
Even just put 5700 miles on the car in less than 2 weeks driving from Boston to tx2k15 and the texas mile. Didn't have any cops even look at me, AND my car is dipped bright green! |

It used to be easy. You just had to remember what Crown Vic headlights looked like. Now they could be driving anything from a 10 year old mini van to a brand new mustang and just about any conceivable car in between.

Within the first month I bought my Camaro, a motorcycle cop pulled up next to my passenger door at a red light, and proceeded to give me the 'roll down window' motion. I obliged, and he asked me, "how much does one of these go for?" I shout, "$35k" out the passenger window. The light changed to green, he ducks his head down (grinning as big as me) and says, "keep it under 100!" I can't say that I've kept to that advice, but it was a pretty cool 'run in' with a local cop. And I don't doubt that some of the cops who follow the twins, is just because they appreciate them. |
