I have used the Sierra Cosworth vents a number of times on 4x4's with excellent results . http://ssv.com.au/bonnet_vents

Had huge heat problems with engine swaps and these fixed the issues.

Seriously considering these for the 86 . http://ssv.com.au/product.php?BV01

I think carbon hood are pretty expensive and dont think there's much weight difference between the oem and aftermarket hoods to justify the price. Any taker, diy'ers? Doesn't have to be the same, similar.. but the idea is to vent the stock hood.

We have a couple member that did do that. IIRC they ended up looking like teardrops though. Placement was odd due to the twins bracing's placement. Here is one of them. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=1995

I considered adding the R35/GT-R dual scoops in mine. But, thought it would be too much with the wing and all.

Wow, that is some serious ventilation. I doubt the FI twins need that large of an opening. Something more... cosmetically appealing? (I know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder).
