either way, it's exciting. clearly truck loads of BRZs are moving around, for some purpose or other. And at this stage in the game, they are most likely production cars, potentially for customers (in that quantity).

I would NOT be surprised if my dealer called me up next week and told me they have the car, even though it's far before the 18th. SoA has been so terrible about information- 2 months in, the only bit of info we get is a date and a vin. And I bet the date has a lot of wiggle room in it...

I know the first slots are starting to be filled in Portland. I haven't heard back about mine though.

However I don't believe anything dealers say so I'll wait to hear it from SOA or until people start getting ETAs.
49 total? that's a shit ton. the most i've heard ranged from 18-24. that's definitely a good sign.

What I've seen has pointed to BRZ allocation being related to the dealership's sales of WRX/STI models. We sell a lot of those up in New England

Inland states get their cars via rail from a port in WA, I presume. East coast might get theirs from a port on East Coast. It's cheaper that way.

East Coast deliveries have started. I got an email from my dealer that my car is in the May/Early June allocation. Cars are probably at the port as we speak.

There are multiple ports: Boston, Texas, LA, etc. I originally thought they were coming in through Baltimore but was mistaken with the McLaren MP4-12C

I really hope so! I think the cars should be arriving at the port or are already there if they should have the VINs in a few days. What color are you getting? We should meet up for a cruise and some pictures out in eastern CT backroads

I just spoke to my dealer in PA and nothing today. What is the significance of Tuesday? I wonder if thats the same for all other east coast dealers.

Probably different. CT is under SNE and not SOA. So this may be a purely SNE thing.

It does seem like allocations for SDC (NY, NJ) have started though.

Not sure what is so special about Tuesday but the dealer said they were told by SoNE they would be getting the VINs along with ETA on Tuesday and they were confident they should fill all their allocations so far (3) by the end of May. I will post an update Tuesday

Rumor from local dealer: East Coast VINs should be updated tomorrow or monday. Delivery ~ late may.

Works for me somewhat although I have a race in Daytona Mem Day weekend.. I don't want the car sitting around the dealership but can't miss the race so the damn thing better arrive either before the 26th or after the 28th

My ETA was the 27th.. which is a Sunday?? If they are open, I'd love to pick it up that day.. if they are not, I'd have to wait until the following weekend as I'll be working in Detroit for the week.. that would SUCK!!!
