You could fit two 12's, but there wouldn't be a whole lot of room left for activities. Most fiberglassed trunk corner boxes are 10's, so if you wanted you could go a little bigger and put one in each corner.
Don't restrict your search to just local dealers. You might find what you're looking for outside the state. |

But since you bring it up, an Integra and Celica GTS FWD will post much closer times to the RWD FRS than a TC ever will. Like you said, there's no point comparing FWD to RWD, but even if you did the idea that the TC is closer to a Celica is still wrong. |

![]() Not sure of your budget but consider the upcoming OEM Audio+ SL Series. If you're in a pinch and need more cargo space, each sub can supposedly be removed quickly via 2 screws. Supposed to be around $4k in all. Forgot all it includes but should be all of the Reference kit, new rear speakers, all carbon fiber cones. ![]() http://shop.oemaudioplus.com/86-FR-S-BRZ_c5.htm I chatted with the OEM Audio+ founder at 86Fest. He claims he optimized the system for this car's acoustics using higher end DSPs without raping us on cost which custom shops would otherwise for those same DSPs. He also says everyone complains it's so expensive but he's a veteran audiophile and did his homework designing this (it's an example of you get what you pay for) and didn't hide that other custom systems can sound better when tuned (via component selection, not equalizer) to the specific music you listen to. His system is a middle ground for all music genres. Sales talk aside, I sat inside and it indeed sounded clean with deep hitting bass. I pointed out one rattle and he explained it was the 3rd brake light (can be fixed but they don't do extra modifications to their demo cars). Their kit is literally OEM with a Toyota part number.

![]() Didn't know there was a significant difference in insurance cost... thought it might be more for FR-S since it would have more claims associated with it (by the sheer number of them out there). But if BRZs generally cost more to buy then I could see it costing more to insure unless you go for a Monogram or Release Series FR-S. I'm not a huge audio person and not sure if 12s make a difference other than being able to claim you have 12s but the OEM Audio subs are 8" and sized right for the trunk, maybe even for acoustics. My buddy's 12 looked out of place in his FR-S making trunk space useless.

Also in that picture with the two OEM+ subs in it, it looks like that was taken with a Fish eye camera lens. Those tend to distort the actual dimensions of things to look "wider".
I would go check an OEM+ equiped car for yourself and see the trunk space. If you can live with it from what I've heard about it its a nice upgrade. GL with your car search
