Larger, more visible search button?
search button should blink when hovering over the new topic button. might help keep the clutter down.

I disagree.
There should be a window that pops up when posting a new topic that reads: "Did you try searching the forum?" yes/no and then a SECOND window that reads: "Are you SURE you searched?"
