Did anyone else notice the new u-joint flange is thicker where it bolts to the diff? I'm pretty sure it wont be an issue but the oem bolts are 1/8th inch shy of coming through to the edge of the nuts whereas with the oem setup they are flush.

Yup, I definitely noticed that. I just ditched the washers and used loctite. I check them everytime I have the car on a lift...so at least twice a year. No issues thus far.

Ok. I left the washers on but used loctite. Torqued to 50 ft/lbs. Hope it holds.

Just curious if anyone with this installed is running the Borla cat-back? I plan to go that route down the road and it has the muffler located in the tunnel (not sure the clearance with the OEM driveshaft).

Is your exhaust within a 1/4 inch of the oem shaft? It's only a half inch larger if i remember right.

Your welcome! I was concerned about it myself but I figured someone had to be the guinea pig. I made sure to contact Perrin and let them know so they could answer that very question if someone called and asked them.

Just a word of warning to everyone. The aluminum drive shaft is not compatible with the TRD Quick Shifter. It lowers the bottom of the shifter which just barely hits the the shaft. Found out the hard way. Fortunately nothing broke. TRD quick shifter's throws are much shorter even vs the Kartboy so I'm keeping it and selling the drive shaft (a guy is buying it today).

What part are you rotating? 90deg? The u-joint to the diff or the whole thing into the transmission? 2nd question, Any shaft maker filling them yet to keep harmonics down?
