I took Shifter's advice earlier in the thread and used the SWC wire that's not needed. Basically clipped it in half and pulled the wire from the end connector (the white end).

Pin 9 on the Ca-fi harness isn't used so I put the SWC wire into that spot and then used solder to connect the end of that wire with the blue amp wire.

Good to go and doesn't require any modification of the stock harness.

I am thinking about buying this dashlinq, because the oem headunit does Not have a linear frequency response and is equalizing the lower frequencys depending on the Volume. Sure i could buy any alpine Double DIN Unit and would be done with it., but i would like to Keep the oem-Look.

But i am Not absolutely sure if the dashlinq is not also non-linear.... So a Solution would be to Hook up an external USB sound Card to the dashlinq. So i would get a android hu with a perfect frequency Response.

Some android tablets are Working with These Cards, the Nexus for example.

My question/problem:

I read there was an update out and I was unable to find it on their site, so I found it here. How do I know my unit isnt updated already since it was shipped out after the update came out?
Heres a pic of what mine is running:

Also, yesterday I paired my phone with the device thru bluetooth and the music played fine. Today I turn it on and its skipping. I tried restarting the app, as well as restarting the unit (not resetting). Any ideas?
Just checked. You are running the latest updates

I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking at with that picture, but I know USB was the easiest thing to hook up. You unplug the USB hookup from the old HU, plug that into the adapter you bought, and then plug the USB end into the USB in on the new HU. It's simple and easy.

Thanks guys, I thought it was wrong since it should just plug into the oem harness for the usb port.

Be careful if you order this from amazon as there are multiple sellers of the item.

For reference, mine came with a brown boot and plug which I pulled it off for that picture.

Is that a picture of the adapter you bought or the stock plug in your car? It looks like you pulled the cable out of the port?

Someone here sent their Dashlinq4 to OEM Audio so they could work on making a DSP amp firmware tuned for it.

Is there any word on that, btw? That was a while ago.

In fact, it's working as intended. FM/AM radio tunning is done through a tuner chip, which is handled by the Radio app itself, instead of Android like in a music player or Internet radio (Pandora, TuneIn, etc). When you have the FM radio app open, it channels it's audio directly to the MCU, then to the speakers.

Sorry I thought it was a Music app that didn't work with the Viper EQ.
