Factory already did an undercoat on the bottom (you will see that on both sides of the car underneath), the JDM car does not have this coating from the pictures that I've seen.

My dealer tried to sell me this BS black box with a red led light as rust proofing. I told them that's retarded this is a car not a boat.

Just keep your car as clean as possible and you are good to go, or buy an NSX.

Hamza @ getdetailed.ca does Opticoat Pro, very happy with how mine turned out. Consider getting clear bra as well. Right away if you can afford it.
How much did the Opticoat run you? And where did you get you clear bra done as well?

My jaw almost hit the floor when I was told lifetime warranties were available for the fabric and paint, I didn't even know that was a thing. Something I wish was purchased on my 4runner. Only problem is you need to revisit a dealer every 2 years to keep the warranties valid otherwise is reverts to a 10 year waranty. I didn't bother with the rust protection/undercoat because mine won't see salt and that way it'll be lighter weight

As for paint bubbling/surface rust, that is not covered by the rust protection but it is covered by the paint protection if the rust was caused by a stone chip/ paint imperfection

Here is mine after Hamza got finished with it

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66284

Bear in mind my car already had 25000kms on it before Hamza touched it. A new car may need less prep before Opticoat so it maybe a little cheaper than I paid.

I went straight to Hamza from picking up my car with the plastic still on it. He has a different price if he doesn't have to do any corrections to the paint. He will be doing my son's new car straight from the dealer as well. So yes I'm very happy the way the Opticoat turn out.

You have met my detailers at work apparently. The work they do is on par with some of the best in the city.
