Debating if it's worth it.
Looks like the 5hp away from an even 200whp is really gettin' to ya, lol.

That's the magic number for a NA build.

When I look at this 213whp/172tq chart from the same dyno it's hard not to lust for that last little bit and then some.

Plus it'd be nice to already have a full 2.5" headerback should a Rotrex ever find its way into my engine bay in the future...

Wow, that's crazy if that's the same dyno, with LESS mods. Could be a super aggressive tune too, but that's almost a 20hp difference.

The 213hp is on E85, which I don't think @ATL_BRZ is running.

Been running E85 with a Moto-East EcuTek tune since August 2013 and I've had a Flex-Fuel kit installed since early March of this year.

My recent dyno was also done with E85.

Oh, well never mind then. As I was.

I wonder what the difference in tune is, then.

Hard to say. Doug is a master tuner himself and did that 213whp E85 tune in person on a dyno with BRZ-Edit and a full catless exhaust.

My Moto-East tune is tailored to my specific modifications and has been dialed in to be extra safe by @moto-mike, but it's still a remote tune which is dialed in with revisions based on EcuTek logs that I send to him. Like I said before there is room for more hp as-is but he's kept it conservative to allow full ignition advance with zero knock since I track my car so often.

^Vishnu Tuning tested the BPBs with their stage 2 tune + header on 93 octane and didn't make any additional peak whp with the blocks than with the same tune without blocks; just shifted the power left to peak 500 rpms earlier and held on to more power to redline. Without a tune the blocks apparently make some peak gains.

Personally the blocks aren't worth the money and time to install since I'm running E85 most of the time and they cause significant top end power loss when tuned for E85: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...81#post1693281

So if you want the strongest top end power while NA you might want to sell the blocks and put that money into a flex fuel kit to compliment a catless header.

You said it right. This is why I am not happy. With BPB on E85 no benefit at all top end power... I am just gonna wait for final word from Shiv and decide. But as of now I'll take E85 tune with Doug any given day over BPB.

Taking it out won't be too bad since I know exactly what to do.

Do you already have a tune? If you want to run E85 without the inconvenience of running the tank dry and switching maps, I'd strongly recommend going with a Flex-Fuel kit and EcuTek tune.

As far as I know neither BRZEdit nor OpenFlash Tablets can support inputs from an ethanol content analyzer and deliver on-the-fly tuning adjustments with reference to custom flex-fuel mapping. Doug's personal 213whp NA E85 tune was done with BRZEdit, but I believe he's also an EcuTek master tuner.

I must say that my experience with Moto-East for remote EcuTek tuning has been exceptional. I like that you can get a high quality, plug and play FF kit and safe FF tune that's tailored to your mods from the same company to keep things consistent.

Looking great. That Magnaflow catted&Resonated pipe looks interesting indeed.
