I think the statement made by either tada or Toyoda that their kids weren't into cars because no one sold them desirable cars they could afford. Who really wants to trick out a 25 year old civic?
I guess you could say that $25k isn't that affordable, but it's not Lexus IS expensive either. |

well BRZ numbers (quantity) are much more restricted than FRS numbers, from what has been shown, so availability will be the deciding factor. realistically, the BRZ should be priced at 26,999 given the extras in order for one to justify choosing the FRS if both are readily available at stealerships, anything less and the BRZ is the better value of the two

$26.970 for the premium and just shy of $30K for the limited. Any closer and they wouldn't be able to make any money off adding options to the base model. People would just instantly go for the higher trim.

$24.2k FRS MTI realize that BRZ pricing is probably optimistic given its exclusivity, older target market, and feature-sets:

1. are price sensitive (the difference makes or breaks your decision) 2. You don't care about the difference in equipment 3. You prefer the front end of the FR-S. 4. You prefer the suspension tuning of the FR-S. I'm 2, 3, and 4. 3 and 4 are a bigger driver than 2. If I did want the base equipment, I'd be more likely to have it added to the FR-S (ending with a potentially higher sticker price) than the base BRZ. For some I suppose you could also add Subaru has the option to do additional dealer markup, which immediately turns me off. I don't even negotiate with dealers like that, I just walk away if MSRP is not the starting point.

As does every Scion dealership. Pure Price means you don't haggle: the ADVERTISED price is the price you pay. Their advertised price could be OVER MSRP as long as it's advertised.

There have been folks on both side of the Scion MSRP/Pure Price debate including folks that sold Scions. I've never bought from Scion so I can't speak to it, although my reading of it falls in line with what you are sayig. I do know the dealer I'm buying from sells directly off the manufacturer's sticker.

I may join you. I didn't realize til just today upon visiting the Scion website that the A/T is $26k, which means the BRZ Prem Auto will probably be over a $$$$ more. for me that's pushing it, especially when you throw in t+l+r here in CA. still want a BRZ prem A/T though.

you know i was a huge stickler for the "this car needs to be under 25k" club. and when the price came out i was a bit disappointing, but then someone posted a pic of the dark blue on and automatically i was like: TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!! i have come to realize that i do not car how much hp it has vs. competitors, how much cargo room it has, whether or not it has a push button start, leather seats. i just don't car about all that extra crap all i want this car to do is be awesome and it has that standing still. maybe ill test drive the gen coup and mustang but this car is stunning. and hey i used to drive a 98 v6 camaro and i loved it. i didn't car that it was slow i loved it the same. and with that said im glad the interior dimensions that motor trend posted are a slight match (2" less shoulder room) to my camaro.

Hey all, I just went to Scions home page and the "build your scion" part is down. I wonder if they are updating it with the FR-S stuff?
