@CSG Mike - I installed a set of Tein Street Flex coilovers and set them up to the recommended specs in the manual for the frs/BRZ. I measured as close as I could get and only the front passenger needs a tiny adjustment.
![]() It seems great so far, especially for the street. The ride is quite smooth, yet refined and feels more planted. However I'd like to hear your recommendations for a track setup. I'm hoping to get about -2.0 front camber and -1.5 to -2.0 rear camber. As far as spring preload and ride height I'm clueless... And that's why I used Tein's recommendations. I waiting for my new wheel/tire setup before I get an alignment. Last edited by GTHachiRoku; 04-10-2014 at 09:42 AM. |

Hmm, I'm getting some clunking noises from my Whiteline LCA's... I just recently put on KW V3's as well. Top hats are pretty secure so I'm positive it is not those clunking. Seems like the LCA's are able to move a bit more than they should. Any advice when I lift up the rear end this evening? Probably just a torquing issue or lack of torque on the camber adjustment nuts?
The clunking \ clacking noise I'm hearing is when the load changes slightly on the car even going 1-2 mph, over small hills, moving the steering wheel hard left or hard right adjusting weight. |

Dear suspension gurus,
Would a smaller diameter tire increase suspension travel? i am thinking going extreme like 225/45/15 tire on 15x8 wheels. Currently, it feels like i hit the rear bump stop exiting a corner with full throttle when the tire hooks up. current setting: Tein H-tech, Koni yellow, whiteline subframe bushing. |

It won't increase suspension travel at all. You'll have more clearance in the fender because that tire is 1.5 inches shorter than the OEM tire. You'll also decrease ground clearance by .75 inches and mess up the speedometer. Will a 15 inch wheel even clear the brakes?

So what you're saying is to find a new WRX and swap their LCAs for ours? I feel like the owner of the WRX might get upset at that, so it's best if he doesn't know.

Stiffening rear Koni makes the car too tail happy.

A taller spring or slightly trim the rear bumpstops. I prefer a spring that comes with replacement bumpstops properly designed.
