Ok, but why would that affect which sessions are timed? Only reason Im asking is I need to know how to prep my car. Since I have a bunch of stuff olanned for my car, I dont see it as a huge benefit to prep my car to class rules unless I get at least 3 timed sessions (2 besides the first session). If you are fastest in group one, thats great - I have always found tracks to be green first thing in the morning. Or wet. Or whatever. But then again, im the new guy, so I dont expect the rules tweaked in my favor. Im happy to just do the trackd ays without being part of the 86 cup also. So either way is good but I would prefer to know which way to go.. D |

By chance if an experienced driver produces his/her fastest time in the first session, then that's collected. As the transponders will be given out before the track goes hot.

Are you in favor of timing 1-3 or 1-4? Imagine if Jonny trackboy shows up and strips a bolt swapping brake pads or breaks something on his car before he goes out in the first session. Now it takes him a couple of hours to get it fixed and he just makes it out for the first time in session 3. With the current rules, he would only get one timed session. Timing session 4 would at least give an opportunity to have a 2nd session and still finish the day early. Just sayin |

Regardless of the sessions timed, everyone still has an equal opportunity to set a time.
Here's the superior possibility, IMO. If we can consistently have 20 car turnouts, we can have our own private TT session... where the rest of the day is just a normal track day, and only the time you put down in that TT session counts toward final results. |

HOWEVER, I'm down for timing 1-4 IF the majority of people stay for the award ceremony at the end. 1 or 2 people leaving early is not that big a deal but if we have more than half missing by the time we get times compiled in the late afternoon during the 5th sessions then we're sacrificing any sense of running a competition just so a few guys can attempt to get a faster laptime in on a track that they're still learning anyways. We can try the 1-4 timing over the next couple events (if @CSG Mike and @mav1178 are ok with the change) but again if the folks clamoring for the late sessions are leaving early, then I would argue strongly to return to the 1-3 format.

I've been wondering, is e85 tune + e85 reflash = .50 points (for e85) or .75 (e85 + flash)? Also what about 100 octane shouldn't that incur a penalty if e85 does?
