All this motorcycle talk makes me sad that I am actually considering selling mine this summer... no time to ride and boat loads of student loans

You might be able to get a better one in the near future. Don't be sad, we're in the same boat, but I sold mine last fall already.

Well I bought it in mint condition and dropped it this past summer before it was lowered so I know it lost some value there. I'm thinking of waiting until early summer to sell because that's when everyone wants a motorcycle and I think I can get the most for it then. Not sure if I should try and fix the fairing that got a small crack in it or if it would be cheaper to just leave as is and sell it for a little less.

Was going to answer you earlier, but I missed it. I suggest you go to check out CBR250R too. Sit on and ride them both, and pick the one makes you feel good.

I see. I was hit by a bus, and my bike flew like 50ft away from me. Nothing broken except scratched all over the fairing and engine cover. Frame sliders saved the bike. My bike had two brother exhaust, and it was very loud, but the bus driver said he couldn't hear my bike coming close and thought my bike was about a quarter miles away. He decided to steer first and use turn signal later. I got screwed. Sold the bike with all goodies for what I got the bike( no goodies) for on September. "Happened in Cambodia."

WTF!! Shit, I was really looking forward to this season's '12 WSBK, BSB and WSS races. I wanted to see the new bikes in full race trim.

http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/raci...-homologation/

The regulations for the 2012 World Superbike Championship are out, and two names are noticeably not present from the homologation lists for World Superbike and World Supersport: the Ducati 1199 Panigale and the MV Agusta F3. That’s right, the two biggest motorcycles to debut in 2012 have not yet been blessed to compete in this season’s two premier production motorcycle racing classes.

Hey a bike thread. K6 GSXR750 I bought new in 07. About 25k on it. I want a motard now but I'm leaning toward the Speed Tripple. Motards like the KTM's and the Super Duke are not smooth enough for me plus the Duke is just too damn much. I wouldn't mind getting the Suzuki moto if they offer the 450 in the US because the 250 is gutless.

I completely forgot that Honda was going to be offering a 250 sport bike now, finally another good starter sport bike for a new rider.

Yep, 250cc is enough power for a new rider. After getting the bike, all you need is riding gears to cruise around town.

IIRC, the Honda CBR250 won the shootout between it, the Ninja 250 and the Hyosung 250 (???). One thing to keep in mind though the CBR is a single and the Kawi a twin. From what I remember they're both good choices. BTW, don't buy on just looks alone! Or we'll all be riding Ducs! LOL

Not just Duc, but also Aprilia, BMW, and MV agusta. I really like RSV4 Factory, but it's a bit too expensive for me.
