Staticy speakers?
I have a 2013 Scion Fr-s with the non-touchscreen pioneer head unit. I recently started to notice that my speakers, both front and back, are starting to become staticy when the music is playing to the point where some parts of a song is barely audible. I rarely ever blast my music and I always keep the volume at 25-30. I tried fiddling around with the sound adjusts and nothing seemed to solve the problem. Only some songs experience this problem while others play fine; songs that utilize bass and treble a lot usually have this problem, BUT I turned off bass and treble and it didn't help.
My music usually plays through bluetooth on my phone so I thought there was a problem with my bluetooth. I got an aux cable and tried that, but it was just as bad. I'm going to borrow a friend's phone to test it with the same songs to see if it becomes better, but does anyone have this problem? Is there a loose plug somewhere? This should be covered under Toyota's warranty right? |

You can try turning down the volume on your phone / music player on very bassy / trebly songs. That usually cleans up the sound a lot for me.

Go old school and try a CD, if the problem goes away your speakers are good.
