My cousin did the update on a regular 4 and instead of bogging it down, it made it a bit faster according to her.

What voice commands are you looking for?

Just curious, I don't care enough to call people while I'm in the car and that's the only situation I can think of where I would want voice commands. I've heard of people dictating texts and emails while they drive (Android that is), but man I bought a car to drive.

Mostly curious because I can't see any advantage to Apple anymore other than the 'hassle free' day to day usage for people who don't want to tinker.

Joke post with serious reply post.

Those look similar to the MIUI ROMs of yore.

Another update: I use an app for work on it that no longer worked on IOS7 so I had to go to the app store and get the updated version to get it working again. You may experience the same thing.

I'm glad my company thought ahead otherwise I would have been scrambling to figure out how to get back to IOS6.

Yup, only purpose is for answering calls in my car. I can't focus on driving while talking anyways so it's just to be able to tell people "wait I'm driving sorry".

I don't understand the "hassle free" usage thing, what's so hard about using Android? You just tap the icons, same as iOS... people these days are getting really stupid SMH

I don't know, I've played around with 3 Samsungs (S2's and S3) and I can't handle the stock UI, it frustrates me to no end and looks about 3 years out of date. I've got to at least put on the free version of Nova and spend a good 10-15 minutes setting it up in a way that doesn't annoy me. Iphones just kind of are what they are, stock for stock I'd probably prefer ios over sense or touchwiz, but I'd pick cyanogenmod or stock in a heartbeat.

By the way, had my phone (HTC One GE) bluetooth connected to my car last night, got a phone call, the car rang, pressed the call button on my head unit, answered the phone, and hung up all without taking my eyes off the road, my music even picked up where it left off. Do you want to answer the phone with your voice?

Lots of nifty things you can do, maybe you can find a solution?

Sorry for the threadjack.

Just updated a spare iPhone 4 I have to iOS 7 last night and everything seems good. UI responsiveness is same if not slightly faster. The update looks good on the smaller screen. I've owned several generations of iPhones across different iOS versions, some jail broken along the way.

Let me know if you have specific questions about iOS 7 on iPhone 4.

Probably looks 3 years out of date because those models (S2 and S3) ARE out of date... more than 2 and a half years for the S2. Even my RAZR MAXX is showing it's age these days, being released in 2011. The experience is night and day different between those phones and say, a brand new Galaxy S4. Just for some comparison numbers, using Quadrant Standard benchmark, my RAZR will churn out a score of around 2,800-2,900. By contrast, the S4 will regularly hit near 13,000.

Hell, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is almost as powerful as my desktop.... 2.3ghz quad core, 3GB ram, 1920x1080 screen..... It's in a whole 'nother league.
