Anyone that has used a keyless systems will tell you that they're the sh it.. Just because your use to being inconvenienced doesn't mean that it's something you'll ever want to go back to after it's out of your life.. in this case a key.
it's not a retarded set up like the s2000 where you have to use a key, turn it, and then hit a start button. here, you walk up to your car and it unlocks for you.. you get in and push in the clutch, assuming you drive a proper car, and touch the "go" button. and go.. might not seem like its that great.. but it is. to me its like going form a pager to a cell phone.. didn't seem so big at that time, but i would never go back.. you 16 year old kids might need to look here, to know what im talking about.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pager i wouldn't want to pull that ugly key out of my pocket to get in a great looking car.. also, it has nothing to do with being lazy, that's just an ignorant argument. |

The technology is cool and it's convenient. It's great in inclement weather, great when your hands are full and you could even argue that it's safer, when you want to get into your car quickly in a lone dark parking structure. The only logical negative thing would be the cost that the system adds and the cost of the "keys." They can be $200-$500 a key. I doubt the majority of people who have had used these sorts of systems would want to go back to a key. I've been accepting the fact that it might not be an option on the Scion, but I'm strongly considering adding it aftermarket through TRD or some other way. |

Okay, I must just be old. I don't get why folks are complaining about the "look" of a key! It's a key, it's not about look, it's a functional device!!! LOL... yeah, I'm old... starting to sound like my dad...

Remote start would be nice, at least during the winter time when I want my car to warm up before I get out to it.
