That should work too If you meant the Galaxy Tab 2. Although I think the Tab 2 is getting or has already gotten JB update already.

I don't see this listed and I'm kinda curious about this - what is the starting point for the variables in the equation? Based on your explaination above, it would go A - Z, then (A)A-Z, (B)A-Z etc.... so mapping looks like this it seems:

Code:
Command: 2101 response: 01F
  ?? ?? A B C D
0:61 01 00 00 00 00
  E F G H I J K
1:55 61 60 42 6B 85 00
  L M N O P Q R
2:00 00 00 00 08 26 50
  S T U V W X Y
3:21 21 00 20 05 F5 07
  Z AA AB AC
4:43 2F 9B 7B 00 00 00
What I don't understand is how the inital response of 01F and the first two spots of line 0 come into play..... help?

Came across a website today that has some interesting info regarding OBD2 ELM327.

http://elmelectronics.com/obdic.html#ELM327v20

I have a ebay knock off bluetooth OBD2 ELM327 v1.5, according to this website that version of ELM327 doesn't even exist. Although in Torque Pro adapter status it states version 1.5

So what chip is it actually running?

Has anyone updated their Nexus 7 (or other Android device) to 4.3 yet? I just updated my N7 to 4.3 and now it won't recognize the OB2II adapter within Torque.

Go to google play and force the update of torque. Mine now senses bt but still acts weird and freezes occasionally.

I just ordered the Glaxay 2 7" with Android 4.0 ICS over the Nexus. Mainly because ICS is the most stable most widely used android OS. It was a tough decision to buy this or get the Ca-Fi KO head unit, I ordered a vent based mount. If I can't get a mount to fit the car I'll try the Ca-Fi KO head unit, but am leary of giving up the excellent radio reception of the stock radio.

Also the ODBII port on our cars can be troublesome, I recommend plugging in the ELM and leaving it there, plugging and unplugging multiple times reportedly losed the pins in the socket.

Better yet, get an extension cable like this and leave it constantly connected. That way you can do all your plugging/unplugging on the extension cable if you have to reflash or anything of the sort. Much easier to replace an extension cable than the onboard port.

Great idea, thanks. When I find a mount for the tablet that works with the car I'll share a link/ part number.
