Cool...where can I get a set? If not, are swift springs pretty good?

Swift also has different springs for frs and brz respectively.
Are the swift springs a good alternative to the rs*r springs? Thanks for your advice! I'd hate to mess up my cars handling at the expense of aesthetics - but let's be real, I'm going to lower it. I just want to do it right and economically. Thanks! Quote:

Now when you say the SuperDown Sus springs will work with the stock struts - what does that mean?
I'm guessing because of the more aggressive spring rates, they will wear the struts faster - but by how much? Will they last 1 year, instead of 3? Thanks for your help on this. I found a place to buy the springs (info@rs-r.com) but now I'm worried about the longevity of my stock struts. If I need to replace my struts so soon after, I may as well wait, and then look for coilovers. |

Thanks for posting your thoughts. I wonder how MOTO can chime in on this - supposedly lowering the vehicle with stock wheels/tires will worsen response. Possibly you haven't explored the true limit of the vehicle - and this makes sense, since you were testing on the street.

Would you mind give me some advises on my setting. I just order goodyear eagle 225/40r18 front and 245/40r18 rear with a set of 18X8.5 and 18X9.5 rims. Will this be a proper setting for street driving and some corner-fun?
I am also thinking to drop it a little bit. will these TANABE GF210 spring perform good with my new wheels? If not, any lowing spring that you recommend? 0.6" Front Drop 0.9" Rear Drop Front Spring Rate - 2.7 kg/mm Rear Spring Rate - 4.5 kg/mm I just do not want to go coilovers because they are too hard for street driving. Thank you so much !! Quote:

And the main reason that I go 225 front and 245 rear is for look. I knew I will lose some oversteer and some fun.
If I already purchase these tires and rims, is there any spring or coilover setting can help me to build a car that similar to the stock setting? I do not want it to be really grip cuz I need some corner-fun on the street. Thank you again.

BTW I have FR-S with five axis body kit. Do not want to drop too much, and still want some oversteer like FR-S OEM springs. Thank you MOTO

So the RS*R springs work all right with the stock tires? What's the verdict?
I would assume the increase in spring rates would overwhelm the levels of grip available to the stock tires. |
