you'd pretty much have to go with android and the adk for something like this. the main difficulty would be that all of the available j2534 passthru cables expose their api through windows dll's exclusively (as far as i know). it's not over serial like an elm327 or similar. it'd be a challenge to make it work with anything other than windows.

I just received several PMs from several willing testers tonight. I'll respond privately tomorrow with additional information.

Nearly done with map discovery. Still have to go back and fill in some gaps but that won't take very long.

Price should be around $450-500. Not sure how competitive that is but it's in line with the amount of extra work needed to adapt our BMW application to work with the twins. And to be clear, you do not need any additional hardware. This device stores the flash files, flashes the ECU, does diagnostics, datalogs, and gives you full access to the unencrypted ROM file.

there's the money shot. no one should even consider anything else, certainly not at that price point.

haha I'm doing the same thing. I'm hoping they will see how active I was with the unichip system and how candid my feedback was with it, in order to let me be one of the first to try it out
