I live in KS and have NEVER seen that on a WRX/STI. Never.

Fender stripes were used originally just so teams could tell the difference between the cars they were fielding

For any sporty car there are a few in the crowd that do this. WRX guys weren't the first and won't be the last.

I agree the "M package" has a lot of the M parts but it doesn't include the M emblems.

Went to Subiefest 2011 a few months back. Didn't see a single one with stripes. LOL!
