That dyno posted earlier that made 170whp and 250wtq at 5psi I am assuming that was stage 3 and an estimated cost of $3800? What kind of estimated cost and numbers are we looking at for just stage 1?

According to the info on their Facebook page that chart is for Stage 1 which they have said will have an estimated cost of $3800. No details have been given on any stages above that.

Wait a minute. Are you telling us the stage one adds only 14 HP? I'm not paying 4 grand for 14 WHP. I remember different numbers but don't want to wade thru 43 pages to find it.

![]() Second, just by looking at the numbers is stupidly easy to know they are wrong. Third, how the Torque curve looks is more important than the HP curve.

Lmao sorry mixed the numbers up on the dyno chart. Haha the curve looks amazing. So why $3800 for just a turbo kit?

lol yeah, before posting stuff please read up on the post. I don't want this forum to end up like the suzuki sx4 forum where no one knows crap, they try to give advices on stuff they don't know and on top of that they can't read higher than the last post up.
last i read they were at 260whp and 232wtq under 3k rpm. gonna be a sweet turbo kit for sure. I'd say stage 2 will be more boost, injectors and exhaust. Stage 3 would be bigger turbo and E85(and AVO if you read this) or water/meth kit for those wishing to stay on 91 or 93. eventually though we'll have forged lower comp pistons, forged rods and sleeves for those wishing to go past normal hp figures for the stock motor, which should be pretty much only drag racers. I got a hard time putting in my head why you would need more than 400whp on a track car that weigh 2700lbs. |

Is anyone else thinking of going straight to stage two with a full exhaust and maybe bigger port injectors if needed? I plan on just leaving it on the stock 5psi for driving daily and going to the full 93 octane max when I want to have fun. Someday I'll just switch to E85, but I want to see how the HPFP handles it first by others paving the way.

I'm updating the first post in this admittedly epic opera length thread with information, so as to make it easier for people to find information on the kit.

That's one area that, at this time, we'll leave "open". I've had a good amount of feedback from customers that want to ceramic coat the header, others that don't, and ones that want to heat wrap it. Ross has heat wrapped the AVO BRZ in Japan because he fully intends to have this turbo kit on the track, and on the track often.
It probably hasn't been said yet, but the original start of AVO Turboworld was under the name Terry's Turboworld 39+ years ago, and that was building turbocharged race engines. We've maintained those roots ever since, and all our kits are engineered for reliability not just on the street, but more importantly, at the track. You should see the Toyota Landcruiser turbo kits, we had to build them to take desert heat at 250km/h for two hours straight. Armor plated Landcruisers. |
