This has been discussed to death, and Visconti himself has posted, he has played around with the tool and AS LONG AS YOU FLASH BACK TO STOCK, they can't find out you have flashed to ECUTek and back to stock, they will just see the stock flash and some random numbers laying around that they have no idea and are not related to a flash count.

Lastly, while it sometimes looks like it, the dealer is not the police of ECU flashing, and generally speaking, they won't look at your ECU unless you bring a catastrophic engine failure or similar.

you'll be surprised. right off the bat, techs can see bolts touched, items removed. they'll suspect mods were done and returned and the junkies will know. i'm not saying this will happen to all...i'm saying that there is no point in buying a turbo kit..installing it, running the car hard, breaking it, and then crying to toyota that you need warranty work and thus you return it to stock HOPING you can get it done. you know this is how someone will think.

Agree 100000%

Want to play, MAN up and be prepared to face the consequences when things don't go as planned.

this is why we stopped playing porsche tuner and started playing japanese car tuner. If you want warranty and turbo its called STI. If you want to have fun modding, you got the right car

I don't see why they would deny work. Its money coming into the shop.

They won't deny work, they (more specifically, Corporate) will deny warranty work. If warranty work is granted, Corporate pays the dealership. Warranty work does not come out of the dealers pocket.

I know I work at a dealership lol. The manufacture pays the claims. But the manufacture has no way to tell if the car has a intake or a exhaust. We get trucks in all the time with aftermarket stacks on the trucks all the time. But in the On-highway diesel truck business all the trucks have aftermarket stacks on their rigs.

I guess its up to the dealer to decide what they disclose to the manufacturer.

NOT expensive, AVO has an amazing reputation and stellar reviews, reliability is one of the top priorities in the design, AVO build quality reviews are also off the charts and lastly I TOO want UEL Headers.

This kit has everything I want. I don't want to go crazy over 300+ WHP in power. It would be amazing to do so, but this is my daily driver and I've been there done that. When you are hungry for super power, little by little you have to keep spending money replacing the weak links in the car (clutch, motor mounts, axles, brakes, etc....)

I think this kit fits my needs perfectly.
That's why!

Good info..thanks, I"m going to follow this one.

Just kinda scary as I"ve never done this before. It may not be an investment, but a hec of an expensive toy for me. But one things for sure, I want more power. Just had a PT cruiser refuse to let me in a lane by stepping on the gas. This just isn't right.

I was on a camping trip a few weeks ago, and really felt the need for more power when on the highway, especially on the uphill sections on the mountain. Plus my buddy thoroughly embarassed me on the straights with his CBR

Pretty much any bike out there will embarrass you, especially a supersport or superbike.

There is no one answer for what a dealer is going to do or say, because it all depends on the dealership itself, not corporate. I've got two Scion dealers near me that are interested in selling/installing the kit for their customers, but I'm sure there's some that would certainly raise their eyebrows seeing this in a car that rolls in.

I would certainly suggest checking around and seeing what dealership will support modifications, you may be pleasantly surprised.
