I think it's a mistake to go back to unequal length headers. This engine and car are a leap forward for Subaru. The balanced extractors along with their optimum performance and sweet exhaust note are a vital part of that signature.
Now that I've heard the difference the old headers and exhaust note show they were a compromise to save money, with a bit more boost covering the lost performance.

Totally agree, I don't want this to sound like another subi... Im loving the note it puts out, especially on turbo'd versions without the UEL headers

You got my money as soon as you release this kit to the market. This kit has convinced me to turbo my car. Look forward to the future of this kit and hope it has a great success in the after market world.

So what is it about this made that made you decide to choose a turbo, and this turbo over the others?

It would also help if some of the more knowledgeable listed the pros and cons of this design in one post so we don't have read 21 pages,

sill learning about this stuff, thanks...

I'm looking forward to this Turbo Kit. Like @Unleashed, this kit convinced me to turbo my car. Why choosing this kit? NOT expensive, AVO has an amazing reputation and stellar reviews, reliability is one of the top priorities in the design, AVO build quality reviews are also off the charts and lastly I TOO want UEL Headers.

This kit has everything I want. I don't want to go crazy over 300+ WHP in power. It would be amazing to do so, but this is my daily driver and I've been there done that. When you are hungry for super power, little by little you have to keep spending money replacing the weak links in the car (clutch, motor mounts, axles, brakes, etc....)

I think this kit fits my needs perfectly.

I vote for uel. I've owned elh all my life and have always been jealous of the burble ... I'll trade 5-10 whp for a mean sounding exhaust.

I'd say the same reason most people are interested--affordability, reliability, and concealment. Most people DD their FR-S / BRZ, so accommodating that will move the most units.

Ok, same for me, however, reliablility weighs more than affordibility. The way I look at it.. I have a 27K investment want to last. In other words, i'd rather pay more for a turbo that adds significant power but not so much you have to rebuild your entire car to accomodate this added power and worry about clutches burning out and other problems i've read about.

Question: I read in this thread that this will be a bolt on? Does this mean, should we need warranty work, it would not be difficult to revert back to stock? Or basically, once you get this or any turbo, completely kiss your warranty goodbye

i'd say you need to get friendly with your dealer. you're changing a lot. they'll still be able to detect ecutek on the ecu when hooking up toyota's scan tool. and it's going to be a lot of hassle to take the entire kit OFF just for warranty work....
