17x9 and a 245 is the optimum setup
for lightweightness and grip.

Maybe a dumb question, but will this turbo kit in any way make it even more difficult to change the spark plugs?

I believe I read that the spark plugs could be changed through the wheel wells, so I can't see this causing an issue. I don't think any of the FMIC piping and whatnot runs close to that area. I'll let AVO confirm that though.

I wish this were the case. If I read correctly in the service manual, changing the spark plugs requires you to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine several inches with a cherry picker to make room for the plugs. I am sure someone will come up with an easier way. |

why is everyone acting like SUCH a fairy? I'm LOOKING forward to PLUGS!!! (fairy comment not meant personally at anyone, if you relate to this no offense!)
You bought a sports car, now go buy tools and gloves and get under this thing already, if you wanted something hard to work on go buy a porsche, drop the motor and talk about the grief of tight spaces and not owning a lift. or try working on a v8 in a s4. thats tight. I dont see the same amount of waaa waaa on the audi and 911 forums I hang out in plug swaps on 911s are not fun either on subarus accessing the plugs is NOT hard, just a challenge lifting the motor is NOT hard, its SO light its scary if you have not done it, but if you can change your oil, and get the car on stands, you can change plugs, and then some, its a very easy engine to access and get to the problem most will run into is not having the correct tools, hoists, jacks etc yes there are easy ways an hard way to do things |

I hear ya, its not like most other scions where you can do plugs at the expense of a little back pain I did many years as a renter and I totally understand-you just gotta find a guy with a garage and buy him beer! I'm originally from NJ btw, good to see y'all representing the FRS/BRZ! |

I'm sure you could jack up the engine from the bottom. That's how I did my STi motor mounts on my WRX. Just a couple blocks of wood and a jack. Or even better, someone will figure out an easier way to do it when folks start to change out plugs. I'm always up for buying new tools. lol
